Upholstery Technician

C&L Aviation Services (a C&L Aviation Group company) is seeking Upholstery Technicians to join our Interior Shop team. No prior aircraft experience is required—we provide hands-on training for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret design/engineering drawings and aircraft specifications
  • Strip, chemically clean, repair, and cover flat panels, bulkheads, and seat panels
  • Work with fabric, vinyl, leather, composites, and other materials using adhesives, sewing equipment, hand tools, and power tools
  • Cut and surge carpets
  • Inspect leather hides for defects and perform layout work
  • Trace and cut seat patterns
  • Install aircraft interior components including window panels, headliners, sidewalls, and baggage panels
  • Sew and upholster covers using design specifications (as needed)
  • Collaborate with lead technicians to improve processes, enhance safety, and reduce costs and cycle time
  • Ensure proper protection of aircraft interiors both inside and outside the aircraft
  • Follow all safety, housekeeping, and PPE requirements
  • Use material tracking systems to issue parts and complete work order sign-offs
Job Requirements
  • Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of upholstery or related experience
  • Experience in marine or automotive upholstery is a plus
  • Ability to work with various materials and tools in a production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
