C&L Aviation Services (a C&L Aviation Group company) is seeking Upholstery Technicians to join our Interior Shop team. No prior aircraft experience is required—we provide hands-on training for the right candidate.
Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret design/engineering drawings and aircraft specifications
- Strip, chemically clean, repair, and cover flat panels, bulkheads, and seat panels
- Work with fabric, vinyl, leather, composites, and other materials using adhesives, sewing equipment, hand tools, and power tools
- Cut and surge carpets
- Inspect leather hides for defects and perform layout work
- Trace and cut seat patterns
- Install aircraft interior components including window panels, headliners, sidewalls, and baggage panels
- Sew and upholster covers using design specifications (as needed)
- Collaborate with lead technicians to improve processes, enhance safety, and reduce costs and cycle time
- Ensure proper protection of aircraft interiors both inside and outside the aircraft
- Follow all safety, housekeeping, and PPE requirements
- Use material tracking systems to issue parts and complete work order sign-offs
Job Requirements
- Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of upholstery or related experience
- Experience in marine or automotive upholstery is a plus
- Ability to work with various materials and tools in a production environment
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
