Paint Technician

Are you looking for a career change that offers on-the-job training to learn a new trade? C&L Aviation Services, a C&L Aviation Group company, is looking for a Paint Prep and/or Paint Technician in our Bangor, Maine location.

Job Responsibilities

  • Use the proper techniques for masking, using various tapes and masking papers
  • Use the proper techniques for pre-painting surface preparation using various hand tools
  • Following the painting process using painting equipment and hand tools
  • Assemble and disassemble aircraft interior components including but not limited to:
    • Sidewalls
    • Windows
    • Baggage Bins
    • Headliners
    • Passenger Service Units (PSU)
    • Galleys
    • Wardrobes
    • Lavatories
  • Inspect and research required parts to place assembly back into serviceable condition
  • Work with and around a variety of chemicals and follow all OSHA standards in regards to PPE
  • May perform other tasks as required by the department and communicate findings and make recommendations to management/leadership

Job Requirements

  • Experience using handheld tools for prep and paint
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive attitude towards productivity, safety, and quality maintenance
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to follow directions, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly, move safely in uneven and confined spaces, and safely climb ladders while carrying 25 pounds
  • High school Diploma
  • Must pass FAA mandated pre-employment & random drug and alcohol testing
  • Must be able to pass a respirator fit test
